Stock Car Shootout set to take center stage July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th

Marshalltown, IA (June 4th, 2013) – The annual Stock Car Shootout will kick into high gear making their first stop at the home of the I.M.C.A. Stock Car at the Marshalltown Speedway on Tuesday, July 2nd.  The second night the tour will travel to the Buena Vista raceway in Alta, IA.  On our nation’s day of independence the tour will take center stage at the famed Iowa State Fair Speedway in Des Moines, IA.  Night number one in Marshalltown will see the I.M.C.A. Stock Cars and I.M.C.A. SportMods battling for a $1,000 top prize.  Also running will be the I.M.C.A. Hobby Stocks and I.M.C.A. Sport Compacts.  The second night of the tour at the Beaver will be the annual Kyle Suter Memorial featuring a $1,000 check for Stock Car feature winner.  Along with the Stock Cars, I.M.C.A. Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, SportMods, Sport Compact, and BVR Bombers will be on the card.  The third stop on the tour in Des Moines will also pay $1,000 for the Stock Car victor.  In conjunction with the Stock Cars, I.M.C.A. Modifieds, SportMods, Hobby Stocks, Sport Compact, and Karl Chevrolet Dirt Trucks will try and tame the big 1/2 mile.  There will be a $50 entry fee for the Stock Cars on each night, the top five in combined points will be battling for a share of the $1,000 points fund.  The overall points champion will be eligible for the Sunoco Stock Race of Champions at the Super Nationals.  All events are I.M.C.A. sanctioned and State, Regional, and National points will apply.
-Marshalltown Speedway: Pit gates open at 4:30, grandstands at 5:00, hot laps at 7:00 with racing to follow. Pit passes are $25, adult grandstand tickets are $12, children 11 and under are $5.00.  Hobby Stocks will pay $300 to win, Sport Compacts will pay $100 to win.
