$12,000 John Deere Championship Series

 (March 6) – For more than 175 years, John Deere has provided the Agriculture and Construction market with the best the industry has to offer.

And now, two local John Deere dealers, Hultgren Implement of Ida Grove and Storm Lake and Schenkelberg Implement of Carroll, Denison, Onawa and Sac City, have signed on to be the presenting sponsors of the John Deere Championship Series with a point of $12,000 paid out to the top ten combined point finishers in the IMCA Modified, Stock Car, Sport Mod, Hobby Stock and Sport Compact classes at the Buena Vista Raceway in Alta, IA and the Crawford County Speedway in Denison, IA.

Drivers entered in the John Deere Championship Series will have to attend 70% of the IMCA races ran at both tracks in 2013 to be eligible.

As part of their commitment to the John Deere Championship Series, Hultgren Implement and Schenkelberg Implement will be a major contributor to the points funds.

Hultgren Implement Inc. opened its doors in 1940 in Ida Grove and now operates out of 2 locations, Ida Grove and Storm Lake, Iowa. They are the 5th oldest John Deere family dealership in the state of Iowa. The 3rd generation of family now owns and operates the business. They have 39 full-time employees between the two stores to fully serve their area producers and residential consumers.

Schenkelberg Implement Co. has been in the John Deere business since 1951 and is currently under the third generation of family involvement. The Carroll location was started in 1951, the Denison location was started in 1962, the Onawa location was started in 1999, and the Sac City location was added in 2001.
